PHILADELPHIA – The Saint Joseph's women's tennis team played its first dual match of the spring slate on Monday, falling at Penn by a 7-0 score.
The Quakers took the lead via the doubles point before emerging victorious in all six singles flights.
"Today we saw action for the first time this spring against a ranked program and some nationally-ranked individuals," head coach
Jeff Puhan said. "We came out a little tight, which I expected, having a young team. We had some individual successes with
Victoria Tracey a few points away from stretching her match against a ranked opponent.
Charlotte Kordonowy had a great showing after taking the fall off as well. We have a lot to clean up and did a lot of good things; we will follow the process and get better. Now we focus on Temple."
The Hawks return to action when they host Temple on Friday at Springton Tennis Club.
