MEDIA, Pa. – The Saint Joseph's women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 result to Seton Hall at the Springton Tennis Club on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Wiktoria Czerny and Victoria Tracey gutted out a 7-5 win in the top doubles flight, but the Pirates won the second and third to secure the first point of the day.

• Czerny battled back from a set down to win her second-flight matchup in a supertiebreaker, 3-6, 6-3, 11-9, but the visitors were victorious in the remaining flights to seal the match.

HAWK TALK
"A tough loss today," head coach Jeff Puhan said.  "Once again, we had some gritty individual performances.  Victoria Tracey and Wiktoria Czerny won their doubles match in the number-one position and then Wiktoria battled for second consecutive win as a Hawk.  Addison Melfi and Charlotte Kordonowy battled in tough losses.  Once we collectively put together these performances, we will be tough.  We're looking forward to playing against Loyola next Saturday."

UP NEXT
The Hawks host Loyola Maryland on Saturday, February 1, at Springton Tennis Club.
