Saint Joseph's finished the regular season with a 6-7-4 record, earning its first winning season since 2021, in conference play after going 3-2-3. It's the Hawks' first trip to the postseason since the 2021 season. St. Joe's has reached the postseason just three times, with only the 2013 team also earning a bid to the Atlantic 10 Championship.
The last win against Fordham also came on the road, beating the Rams 2-1 in 2019. Since then, the Hawks are 0-2-2 in their last four matchups and 0-1-1 in the Bronx.

Matteo Mazzotta leads the Hawks in goals (6) and points (14), entering the postseason ranked third in the Atlantic 10 in goals scored and fifth in points. Six different Hawks have recorded multiple goals on the year, while
Tommaso Rossetto (3) and
Luke Johnson (3) are tied for second in goals scored. Rossetto joins
Glen Lala and
Sebastian Perez-Gasiba with three assists to lead the team.
Defensively, the Hawks have been able to find consistency with only five players recording starts in the back line. Outside backs
Cassidy Tanddo and
Herman Tveit-Reffsgaard have each played in all 17 games, as Tveit-Reffsgaard has added a pair of goals to his name, while Tanddo's lone assist proved to be a game-winner against Loyola (Md.).
Kobe Perlaza has started in all 15 games he's played in this season, adding a pair of goals at center back.
Diego Avelar has started in 14 of his 15 appearances while
Sean Boyle has deputized in the duo's absence with five starts and 13 appearances.
Cooper Jennings has manned the Hawk goal in 16 games this year, leading the conference with 1,440 minutes played in net. Jennings has allowed just 1.25 goals per game, the fifth-lowest mark in the Atlantic 10. The redshirt junior has also led a Hawk defense that produced four clean sheets on the season while reducing goals allowed from 39 last season to 23 in 2025.

Luke Johnson (55) and
Kobe Perlaza (51) entered rare air this season, becoming the only two Hawks on the roster to make 50 appearances in their careers. All 55 of Johnson's appearances came at St. Joe's, while Perlaza played 22 of his 51 career games as a Hawk.
Cooper Jennings is three games shy of making his 50
th career appearance, starting in 45 of his 47 games in goal.
Mazzotta is the lone Hawk on the roster to have started in every game he has played in his career, making 31 starts over his two seasons on Hawk Hill.
HAWK HILL NEWCOMERS
Seventeen new players joined the roster in 2025, including 11 freshmen and six transfers. Of the 17 newcomers, 14 played high school soccer in either Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or Delaware.
