PHILADELPHIA – Saint Joseph's goalkeeper
Cooper Jennings was named to the Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area Team, the organization announced on Tuesday.
Jennings started all 17 games in goal, anchoring the Hawks to five clean sheets while making 48 saves. He finished the season with a .706 save percentage while he registered a 1.16 goals-against average, with three of his shutouts coming in Atlantic 10 action. Jennings held Fordham off the board in the 0-0 draw during the conference quarterfinals.
The Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area Team is voted on by the athletic communications offices of 30 institutions in the Philadelphia metropolitan area. In order to be eligible, student-athletes must achieve a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.30, be a starter or key reserve on their team, and be in at least their second year at their institution.
