VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – A pair of individual podiums along a second-place finish in the 4x800m relay highlighted the final day of action for the Saint Joseph's women's track and field team at the Atlantic 10 Indoor Championships.
TRACK RESULTS
- Ava Curry opened the day with two points for the Hawks, competing in the first of two events as the senior finished seventh in the mile run with a time of 4:57.12.
- Kimberly Johnson added another three points in the 500m finals, taking sixth in the event with a time of 1:16.46.
- Tess Crossan earned the first podium of the day for the Hawks in the 800m final with a third-place effort of 2:13.03. Crossan finished .04s shy of second place nearly two seconds faster than the rest of the field. Gemma Chevoor added a fifth-place time of 2:16.49 to highlight her rookie season.
- Curry added a podium finish of her own in the 1000m final, earning the bronze medal in the event after finishing with a time of 2:51.44.
- St. Joe's finished the scoring in the 4x800m relay, ousted out of the gold by just .14s as the team of Quinn O'Brien, Alexis Westawski, Chevoor and Crossan placed second with a time of 9:03.37.
- The team recorded 29 points to finish 12th place.
