PHILADELPHIA, PA. – The Saint Joseph's women's track team opened up the 2025 outdoor season at Franklin Field in the Penn Challenge on Saturday.
 
TRACK RESULTS

• Three new personal-best times were set by Majken Lutzen (4:39.66), Madison Buddenbohn (5:00.30), and Carolyn Smith (5:01.21) to open the meet in the 1500m. Lutzen's effort yielded an eighth-place finish.
• In the 400m, Alyssa Bloxton opened her first collegiate outdoor meet by recording just under the 60 second barrier in 59.67s. Camille Bertin (1:04.90) and Rylee Barnhart (1:06.11) rounded out the event for the Hawks.
• Cruising down the straightaway, freshman Sammy Walz led the Hawks in the 100m with a time of 12.47s. Maya Adams set a new PR in the event at 12.94s with Cecilia Abruzzo following close behind in 13.00s.
• Freshman Danika Slits led a trio of Hawks in the 800m, running a 2:22.03. Danielle Juliano and Sabrina Paz finished neck-and-neck in 2:23.24 and 2:23.58. Senior Maura Keane rounded out the event, setting a new PR of 2:23.63.
• Judith Walker and Alessandra Schuster represented the Hawks in the 200m, crossing the finish line in 26.40s and 27.53s, respectively.
• Taking sixth and setting a new PR, sophomore Grace Rudder came back from injury to run a 10:25.96 in the 300m. A quartet of Hawks in Lauren Charboneau (10:48.45), Grace Fennell (10:49.80), Katherine Sparks (11:01.62), and Payton Kochanski (11:09.40), finished ninth through twelfth in the event.

 
FIELD RESULTS

• Chloe Kearney was the lone Hawk in the long jump for St. Joe's, producing a best leap of 14'11 ¼".
