WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Saint Joseph's
Christian Matt finished tied for 15th place individually to lead the Hawks' men's golf team at the Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate.
How It Happened
• Over the three-round event, Matt carded a score 72-74-71/217 (+4) to finish tied for 15th in the 85-player field.
• As a team, the Hawks shot 305-297-300/902 (+50) to place 12th in the 13-team field.
•
Thomas Larkin posted a three-round score of 79-72-75/226 (+13) to finish tied for 47th place.
•
Noah Moelter finished in a tie for 52nd with a tally of 79-71-77/227 (+14).
•
Aidan Farkas placed 78th with a score of 76-80-80/236 (+23).
•
Kevin Lafond rounded out the five-man team with a score of 78-85-77/240 (+27) to tied for 81st.
• Longwood won the team title by seven strokes with a score of 280-287-289/856 (+4)
• Longwood's Justin LaRue and Georgetown's Carsten Judge tied for medalist honors with scores of 205 (-8).
• The Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate was held at the par-71 Golden Horseshoe Gold Course (6,817 yards).
