OLEAN, N.Y. – The Saint Joseph's women's tennis team earned its fourth win in five matches on Friday, topping St. Bonaventure by a 5-2 score.
HOW IT HAPPENED
•
Charlotte Kordonowy and
Brooke Tackett got things started with a win in the second doubles flight;
Ana Ocasio and
Gisele Tang then secured the doubles point with a tiebreaker win in the third.
• The Bonnies drew level with a win in the top singles flight, but the Hawks put away the match with three consecutive victories.
Wiktoria Czerny was a winner in the second flight before Kordonowy took her match in the third and Tang finished things off after battling from a set down in the fourth. Tacket closed out the scoring with a win in her sixth-flight match.

"The Hawks came to play today," head coach
Jeff Puhan said. "This was a great win for our team and everyone contributed. We got swept last year; to win 5-2 also says something about this new group. We will now get ready to battle Dayton tomorrow."
