4X800M Relay Sets New Women's Track and Field Program Mark At ECAC Indoor Championships

Saint Joseph's 4x800m relay team of Quinn O'Brien, Alexis Westawski, Gemma Chevoor and Tess Crossan captured gold and set a new program record (8:55.12) to highlight the Hawks' women's track and field team's performance at the ECAC Indoor Championships.

TRACK RESULTS (SATURDAY)
  • Olivia Binns opened the meet with a 7.90s finish in the 60m prelims, finishing .04s behind a qualifying time.
  • Jessica Rubio finished with a time of 58.07s in the 400m prelims.
  • Kimberly Johnson added a third-place finish in the 500m prelims, a half second separating her time of 1:15.97 with the top finisher.
  • The Hawks earned their second qualifier through Ava Curry, the senior registering a 2:52.21 time in the 1000m prelims to secure a spot in the final.
FIELD RESULTS (SATURDAY)
  • Lily Ferguson finished eighth as her fifth attempt set her best mark of the day at 5.36m.
TRACK RESULTS (SUNDAY)
  • Johnson returned to the track for the 500m finals, setting a new season-best time of 1:15.38 to take fourth in the event.
  • Curry's time of 2:55.64 proved good for sixth-place in the 1000m finals.
  • The senior returned to the track for her second scoring finish of the day as Curry recorded a 9:51.43 finish to secure seventh place.
  • In the 4x400m, Saint Joseph's team of Johnson, Rubio, Stephanie Cristinzio and Olivia Beddow placed fifth in a time of 3:52.29.
