FAIRFAX, Va. – The Saint Joseph's women's tennis team used a strong team effort to beat George Mason, 4-1, on the road on Sunday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Hawks grabbed the early lead with a pair of doubles wins.
Charlotte Kordonowy and
Brooke Tackett outlasted their opponents in the second fight, while
Addison Melfi and
Claudia Perez-Garcia teamed up for a third-flight win.
• In singles play, Kordonowy won her second-flight match at love, while
Victoria Tracey won in straight sets in the third.
•
Wiktoria Czerny won a three-setter in the first flight to give the Hawks the win.
