MEDIA, Pa. – The match went down to the wire on Friday morning, but the Saint Joseph's women's tennis team ultimately fell to Bucknell, 4-3, at Springton Tennis Club.
HOW IT HAPPENED
•
Wiktoria Czerny and
Victoria Tracey were winners in the first doubles flight, but the visiting Bison took the second and third flights to secure the first point of the day.
•
Elena Fleming was a 6-2, 6-2 winner in the fourth singles flight to get the Hawks on the board, while Czerny won her first-flight match and
Valeria Casusol won in the second, both rallying from a set down to win in supertiebreakers.
• Unfortunately for the Crimson and Gray, the Bison claimed the final two singles flights to earn the overall victory.
