PHILADELPHIA – A late equalizer from junior defender
Rob Myrickin the 89th minute delivered the Saint Joseph's men's soccer team a thrilling 2-2 draw against La Salle on Wednesday evening at Sweeney Field.
How It Happened
• La Salle grabbed an early advantage in the seventh minute when Kyrese Lynch-Bailey found the back of the net off a pass from Zeke Zambrano to give the Explorers a 1-0 lead.
• The Hawks quickly responded in the 16th minute when
Nick Hanushchak leveled the match, netting his first goal of the season assisted by
Sebastian Perez-Gasiba.
• The teams remained tied 1-1 entering halftime.
• La Salle reclaimed the lead early in the second half as Alberto "Toto" Esquivel Meza converted a penalty kick in the 53rd minute.
