WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Saint Joseph's men's golf team posted the third-best team score in Tuesday's final round of the Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate to finish in fifth place.
How It Happened
• As a team, the Hawks shot 291 in the third round and moved up a spot to finish in fifth place in the 12-team field at 290-293-291/874 (+22).
•
George Williamson, Jr. finished tied for sixth at 71-69-71/211 (-2).
•
Noah Moelter finished in seventh place with a score of 70-73-69/212 (-1).
•
Christian Matt tied for 38th at 76-72-76/224 (+11).
•
Sam Feeney and
Michael Henry, Jr. each tied for 57th with scores of 76-76-78/230 and 78-77-75/230 (+17), respectively.
• William and Mary won the team title by 13 strokes with a three-round score of 850.
• Navy's Jack Trazy and Villanova's Matthew Zerfass tied for medalist honors at 208 (-5).
• The Golden Horseshoe was held at the par-71 Golden Horseshoe Golf Club.
