MERION STATION, Pa. – The Saint Joseph's women's tennis team defeated Chestnut Hill, 5-2, on Tuesday afternoon in the Hawks' final home match of the season at the SJU Tennis Complex.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Hawks took the lead via the doubles point when
Claudia Perez-Garcia and
Brooke Tackett topped their second-flight opponents, 6-3, and the Hawks claimed the third flight via walkover.
•
Amari O'Brien dropped just one game on the way to a win in the top singles flight; Perez-Garcia then clinched things for the Hawks with a supertiebreaker win in the third flight.
UP NEXT
The Hawks head to Richmond, Virginia, to take on Duquesne on Friday and VCU on Saturday.
