DAVIDSON, N.C. — The Saint Joseph's women's lacrosse team dropped a 13-6 decision to Davidson on Thursday in the Atlantic 10 Quarterfinals.
Davidson opened with three goals in the first five minutes before
Kate Fuhrman put the Hawks on the board.
Riley Miller and
Emma Yoder scored in the final 1:17 of the quarter to cap a 3-0 response and tie the game at 3-3 after one.
The teams traded goals early in the second quarter before the Wildcats used a 3-0 run to build a 7-4 lead.
Riley Bittinger added a late goal to trim the deficit to 7-5 at halftime.
Davidson carried that momentum into the second half, holding Saint Joseph's scoreless in the third quarter while extending its run to 5-0 to take a 12-5 advantage into the final period. The Wildcats maintained control down the stretch to secure the win.

- Alexa Capozzoli finished her career as the program's all-time leading scorer with 246 points, surpassing Shannon Feite '97.
- Kate Fuhrman ended her career tied for ninth in goals (124) and fifth in points, finishing three shy of 200.
- Kaylyn Williams led the defense with two caused turnovers.
- Davidson outshot Saint Joseph's, 27-23. The Hawks won the draw control battle, 14-7, but committed 20 turnovers compared to 10 for the Wildcats.
