PENNSAUKEN, N.J. – The Saint Joseph's men's rowing team raced three boats in the opening day of competition at the 2026 Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta on the Cooper River on Friday.

How It Happened
• The 3rd Varsity 8 opened the day in the time trials as the Hawks completed the course in 5:55.647.
• In the semifinals, St. Joe's 3rd Varsity 8 finished third with a time of 6:22.530 to qualify for the 3rd Varsity 8 Grand Final Bob and Mazie Sutor Memorial Cup.
• The Hawks' 2nd Varsity 8 finished seventh in its time trial at 5:45.301.
• Saint Joseph's 2nd Varsity 8 placed sixth in its semifinal event in a time of 6:08.250 and will compete in the Final 2 on Saturday.
• In the Varsity 8 time trial, the Hawks posted a time of 5:34.383 to finish sixth in the morning.
• In the afternoon's semifinal, Saint Joseph's posted a fourth-place finish (5:47.600) and is set to take part in the Petite Final.
