BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Saint Joseph's men's cross country team opened its 2026 slate on Friday evening, turning in a second-place finish at the Lehigh Invitational.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Hawks turned in four of the top eight times at the race, led by Gavin Mogck's third-place finish in 18:22.5.  Ethan Fingerhut placed sixth in 18:43.5, while Brendan Hefferan was right behind him in seventh at 18:44.7 and Matt Hoffman was eighth with a time of 18:49.5.
 
• Ian Romea rounded out the scoring positions with an 18:55.6 that put him in 12th place.  Ryan Cichocki crossed the line in 19:04.2 for a 16th-place finish while Jackson Kane was right on his heels in 17th at 19:04.3.  Evan McGregor turned in a time of 19:14.5 while Joey Lanci finished in 19:18.8 to place 20th and 22nd, respectively.
 
• Christian Napoli, Cooper Hey, and Eli Stoudt placed 28th through 30th for the Hawks, while Nate Boyer was 32nd, Logan Miller 37th, Jack Brannon 41st, and Will Pardue 50th in the field of 142 runners.
