Biography

Served as Saint Joseph's Sports Information Director from 1972-73 to 1982-83... He was team manager of Bill Ferguson's Hawk Hoop teams of the mid-1940s... A Big 5 historian, he also served as Director of the Scholastic Score Reporting Service and sportswriter for the Catholic Standard and Times... He is a long-time secretary of both the Hawk Hoop Club and the William H. Markward Club... Inducted into the Saint Joseph's Men's Basketball Hall of Fame in 1977 and the Philadelphia Big 5 Hall of Fame in 1989... Native of Philadelphia, Pa. and graduate of St. Joseph's Prep.
