Biography

Arguably the greatest hitter in Hawk baseball history, the right-handed hitting outfielder holds SJU record with a .393 career batting average... As a pitcher, he tossed one of just six no-hitters in school history... Landers was a three-time All-Middle Atlantic Conference selection, including MVP in 1971... He was named co-captain and MVP of 1971 team that earned the program's first NCAA Tournament bid... Was selected by the Chicago Cubs in the 1970 MLB draft and by Pittsburgh in 1971 before signing with the Philadelphia Phillies... He was an inductee into SJU Baseball Hall of Fame in 1997... Native of Philadelphia, Pa. and graduate of St. Joseph's Prep.
