Biography

2014-15:  compiled a 5-8 singles record playing primarily at the #6 singles position…Two of her five wins came against conference opponents…Scored a straight set 6-4, 6-0 win over Georgian Court University’s Brittany McLaughlin at #6 singles on 9/23…also had a win at #6 singles at Caldwell University on 9/9, defeating Claudia Romano, 6-1, 6-2….Recorded consecutive 8-0 wins against Cheyney University’s Erica Kellum (#5 singles) and Jessica LaRoda (#4 singles) on 9/21…participated in the ITA East Region Tournament, reaching the round of 32 in the “B” singles bracket…earned her first collegiate win on 9/6 at St. Thomas Aquinas College, scoring a 6-0, 7-6 (7-2) win over Nasin Vega at #6 singles…played in five doubles matches with her only win coming on 9/9 at Caldwell – an 8-4 win at #3 doubles teaming up with Andria Dang. 

Honors and Activities:  Named to USciences’ Dean’s List in each of her first two semesters… Inducted into Alpha Lambda Delta National Freshman Honor Society, spring 2015…Member USciences American Chemical Society chapter and the Pediatic Pharmacy Club...Volunteered at the Walk to end Alzheimer's in 2014...Volunteer for high school’s freshman orientation and local church events…Field Day volunteer for local elementary school…Was a Girl Scout Gold Award Recipient. 

Prior to USciences:  Four year tennis player at West Scranton High School…earned U.S. Army National Scholar Athlete Award…and the Scranton School District Golf Tournament Scholarship…Was also a recipient of the James F. Swift Scholarship..Was member of the National Honor Society..also participated in track and field. 

Personal:    Only child of Alan and Susan Skoritowski…Entering her second year in USciences Doctor of Pharmacy program…Chose USciences because it gave her the opportunity to continue playing the sport she loves (tennis) and it was an excellent fit for her career path…Also loves the small class sizes at the school…"I liked the fact that USciences is a very small school and it provided me with the opportunity to major in pharmacy and continue pursuing my interest in tennis."...After graduation would like to work in retail pharmacy at a local Wegmans near home.
