NELSON NAMED TO A-10 ALL-CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM

DAYTON, OH (03/15/03) - Saint Joseph's junior Jameer Nelson, who poured in a career-high 39 points on 11-of-19 shooting against Dayton in a 76-73 semifinal loss, was named to the 2003 Atlantic 10 All-Championship Team. Nelson's 39 points rank as the most scored ever in the semifinals of the Atlantic 10 Championship as well as the most ever by a junior. Only Tom Garrick (50) of Rhode Island and Duquesne's Mark Stevenson (44) have scored more points in the 27-year history of the Atlantic 10 Championship.
