 | Dear Fellow Hawk, As another year comes to a close, we would like to congratulate the 80 student-athletes who were among the hundreds of Hawks graduating from the University this year. We are confident that the Jesuit values instilled during their time on Hawk Hill will continue to serve them well as they enter the next phase of their lives. Overall, 2012-13 proved to be another strong academic year. The average GPA for our student-athletes was 3.09 with 61 percent posting a 3.0 or higher. Collectively, 17 of our 20 varsity squads boasted a team GPA above a 3.0. These numbers reflect their dedication and commitment in and out of the classroom. On the field, we would like to acknowledge head coach Terri Adams and the Hawk softball team for capturing the Atlantic 10 regular season title - the first in program history - and reaching the Conference championship game. We would also like to extend our best wishes to Kevin McDonnell, who will be representing SJU and the men's track program in the 10,000 meters at the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon. Additionally, the Atlantic 10 is excited to welcome Davidson College as its newest member. The Wildcats will be joining the Conference in 2014-15 and we look forward to competing with them in the coming years. Finally, thank you to everyone who has supported the Hawks this year. Whether you cheer us on at games and matches, attend events or support our teams financially through the Hawk Athletic Fund, you play an important role in our ongoing success and help us fulfill our mission to Develop Everyday Champions. Thank you for your support. Go Hawks!
