SJU Announces Athletic Director's Honor Roll

The Saint Joseph's athletic department is pleased to announce that 253 student-athletes were named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll and 89 were recognized as members of the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll for the spring semester. more>

Men's Lacrosse Joins Northeast Conference as an Associate Member
Saint Joseph's has accepted an invitation for its men's lacrosse program to join the Northeast Conference as an associate member, beginning with the upcoming 2014 season. SJU will join Bryant University, Mount St. Mary's University, Robert Morris University, Sacred Heart University, Wagner College, and fellow new member Hobart College in the NEC. more>

Men's Basketball to Embark on Tour of Italy
The Saint Joseph's men's basketball team will embark on a 10-day tour of Italy from August 11-21, playing four games and visiting four cities. It marks the second time that head coach Phil Martelli has taken the Hawks overseas. more>

Hawks to Face LSU in Opening Game of Old Spice Classic

The SJU men's basketball team will meet LSU on Thanksgiving night to open play in the 2013 Old Spice Classic at HP Field House at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex near Orlando, Fla. Dear Fellow Hawk,

As the days of summer begin to dwindle, we are feverishly preparing for the arrival of our student athletes and our first varsity contests of the fall season which are less than a month away.

In fact, the members of our men's basketball team have already arrived in preparation for their forthcoming trip to Italy. Please join me in wishing them luck in competition and safe travels, as they head to Europe.

I had the pleasure of speaking to a number of our incoming freshmen and their parents during the recently completed summer orientation sessions. Each of them was eager to arrive on campus and represent the Crimson and Gray both on and off the field.

It has also been great to see the influx of youth and high school athletes who have been participating in summer camps over the past few weeks. I am certain that their experiences working with our coaches, players and staff provided them with a taste of the passion and enthusiasm required to become a Hawk.

Finally, I want to extend my thanks to everyone who has supported the SJU athletic department. We could not do it without you and look forward to seeing you at a game or event this fall.
