George Griffin

Biography

In 1969 he was named an honorable mention All-American as he was regarded as the Mid-Atlantic Region's top midfielder... As a defensive standout he anchored SJU teams that went 22-8-6 in his three seasons, including 15 shutouts... Griffin helped the team set then a school record with eight shutouts in 1968... He also tallied six goals in 1969 while also being named two-time First Team All-District selection and All-Middle Atlantic Conference choice... Native of Philadelphia, Pa. and graduate of Northeast Catholic High School.
