Served as both a player and then head coach for SJU's baseball and basketball programs... Is the only alumnus to serve as both a captain and the head coach in two sports... Was a Two-time All-Middle Atlantic Conference selection as a centerfielder... Led the team in runs, extra base hits and stolen bases his junior and senior years... Chosen captain for the 1962 baseball season... Three-year letterwinner in basketball for Jack Ramsay's teams, which won three MAC titles and made three NCAA appearances... In 1974 he became the school's 10th basketball coach and served for four years... In 10 seasons as SJU's baseball coach, compiled a record of 140-80-5, the third highest victory total in SJU history... Led the 1974 team to a MAC crown and NCAA berth... Hails from West Chester, Pa. and is a graduate of Bishop Neumann High School.
