Taya DiAngelo

Taya DiAngelo is serving as interim head coach after finishing her third season as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for Saint Joseph's.

This past season, the Hawks captured the Jesuit Invitational title, had three boats advance to the Grand Finals of the 2025 Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta, and capped the season with the Varsity 4+ winning the Petite Final and a seventh-place overall finish nationally at the 2025 IRA National Championships. 

DiAngelo came to Saint Joseph’s in 2022-23 after serving as an assistant coach with Villanova’s women’s rowing team the past five years. While with the Wildcats, DiAngelo helped oversee the team’s on-water, and land training, while also assisting with recruiting and overall program operations.

Prior to Villanova, DiAngelo served as a volunteer assistant with Penn’s women’s team from 2014-17 helping the Quakers set then program records at the 2017 Ivy League Championships. DiAngelo began her coaching career as an assistant coach at Germantown Academy in 2007 before serving as interim head coach in the spring of 2014.

A four-year letterwinner as a coxswain with the University of San Diego men’s rowing team, DiAngelo earned a bachelor’s degree in English language and literature in 1999.
