Saint Joseph's University

Beginning her third year as Saint Joseph’s Director of Athletics Development is Laurel Hosmer in 2023-24.

Joining the Hawks in the summer of 2021, Hosmer serves as an integral member of both University Advancement and the Saint Joseph’s Athletics senior leadership team. In her role, she helps create the vision and provide leadership for all athletics-related fundraising revenue generation efforts through major gifts, athletics-specific capital projects, and the Hawk Athletic Fund.

Hosmer came to Hawk Hill after nearly five years in Athletics Development at the University of Delaware. Joining the Blue Hens’ staff as Associate Director of Development in 2016, she was promoted to the Assistant Athletic Director role in August 2019. She personally raised over $4.9 million in outright and planned gift commitments, playing a key role in raising $35 million in just two years to renovate Delaware Stadium and build the Whitney Athletic Center.

Hosmer began her career in the UMass Development Office in 2011. Following a two-year stint, she spent the next year as a Development Assistant at the University of Georgia, before serving as Assistant Athletic Director for Development and Revenue at Eastern Washington from 2014-16.

A 2009 graduate of the State University of New York Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in sociology, Hosmer was a women’s soccer standout as she served as team captain for two seasons and was a four-year member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. She earned a master’s degree in sports management from UMass in 2013 and received a Analytics: Optimizing Big Data Certificate from the University of Delaware in 2020.
