Starting her 11th year as a member of the Athlete Center for Enrichment staff is Taylor Thomas.
Weidensaul, who was promoted to director of the athlete center for enrichment in 2021, monitors academic progress through educational support meetings, mentor meetings and study hall, including the creation of comprehensive academic support plans for at-risk student-athletes for 10 of Saint Joseph’s teams, including men’s basketball. Additionally, she acts as a liaison between student-athletes, faculty and coaches by completing and communicating travel letters and rescheduling and proctoring exams, assists in the completion of NCAA, Atlantic 10, and departmental reports and coordinates large-scale events on campus, including Scholar-Athlete Night, Academic Boot Camp, HAWKIES annual awards banquet, Taking Flight Summer Program, and Freshman Seminars.
Joining the Hawks in 2015 as assistant director of educational support services, Weidensaul was instrumental in creating the Hawks Life Skills program for student-athletes, holding the role of coordinator since its inception in 2018.
Weidensaul came to Saint Joseph’s after serving as coordinator of athletics operations and student services at Rosemont for two years. Along with advising Rosemont’s SAAC and overseeing compliance of
Academic Progress Reports within the Department, she also coordinated game day operations for 13 sports, supervised home competitions as the on-site manager, and oversaw internal operations, including scheduling of games, officials, transportation, uniforms and equipment.
Earning a master’s degree in sports management from Drexel in 2013, Weidensaul spent two years with the Dragons as graduate assistant in their ACHIEVE Center, advising a cohort of student-athletes and providing advisees with weekly meetings, tutoring, course scheduling, progress reports, and degree audits.
A standout field hockey student-athlete at Ursinus, Weidensaul led the Bears to three NCAA Final Four appearances, while individually earning Academic All-American and Dean’s List accolades. A member of Phi Epsilon Kappa - Exercise and Sports Science Honors Society – she earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise and sports science from Ursinus in 2010.
