2021 (Game-by-Game):

  • Did not surrender a hit in his two frames, retiring six of the seven batters he faced in game two of sweep of Bloomfield on Senior Day (4/30)
  • Kept USciences in game one at Caldwell with a second straight quality start as he went the distance allowing just five hits. Only two of those hits came over his final four innings as he retired 13 of the final 15 batters he faced (4/13)
  • Turned in his first quality start of the season in game one vs. Post, allowing just two earned on six hits with six strikeouts in his six innings (4/2)
  • Earned the win after allowing just one earned on four hits in five innings, while striking out seven in game two of a doubleheader with regionally-ranked Caldwell (3/30)
  • Improved to 2-0 on the season, surrendering three earned on six hits in five innings of game one victory over Chestnut Hill (4/18)
  • Retired 12 straight at one point in game one vs. CACC North leader Felician (5/5)

2020 (Game-by-Game): McCrane’s led both USciences and the CACC with four starts in the shortened 2020 seasons, and he was one of seven pitchers in the league to throw a complete game. His team-leading 23.0 innings pitched was second in the conference, while his 19 strikeouts were eighth, as he pitched to a team-best 5.48 ERA.

  • Did not allow a hit in his final five innings, retiring the final 17 batters he faced, as he threw a complete game against West Virginia Wesleyan, surrendering four runs on six hits while tying his career-long outing of eight innings (3/5)

2019 (Game-by-Game): McCrane started a team-high 11 games in 2019, which ranked tied for first in the program’s recorded single-season history (since 2005) as well as fifth in the CACC. He also led the team and ranked in the top-seven of both the program’s recorded single-season history and the CACC with 66.2 innings pitched and 68 strikeouts. His team-leading 4.18 ERA and 9.18 strikeouts per nine innings were both top-eight in the CACC, and he was second on USciences with a 3-3 record.

  • Turned in a quality start against CACC South leader Felician, throwing six innings in which he allowed the two earned runs on six hits with eight strikeouts (4/24)
  • Limited CACC North leader Dominican to just one earned run on six hits and six strikeouts in his seven innings to earn a win over the Chargers (4/17)
  • Surrendered just one earned run for the second start in a row, going a career-long eight innings in win at Jefferon. His lone blemish was a solo home run, as he gave up six hits while striking out five against two walks (3/29)
  • Struck out a career-high 10 and gave up just five hits in his 6.1 innings, holding CACC Northe preseason favorite Post scoreless for the first six frames (3/24)
  • Picked up the win against Cedarville with a career-long seven innings of one-run ball in which he allowed just four hits, while striking out a career-high eight against just two walks. After surrendering a run in the first, tossed six scoreless frames (3/8)
  • Late Gannon rally denied the sophomore a win, as he turned in a quality start of six innings and three earned runs. He surrendered just four hits, striking out seven and walking just two (3/3)

2018 (Game-by-Game): McCrane appeared in a team-high 11 games his freshman season, leading the team with two saves and a 12.81 K/9. He was also fourth with 28 strikeouts (in 19.2 innings), and was one of seven Devils to pick up a win on the season. McCrane also picked up five hits in 20 at-bats, finishing with four runs, two doubles and an RBI. 

  • Closed out the season by going a season-best 3-for-5 with two runs and a double at Bloomfield (5/2)
  • Recorded first career collegiate hit as part of 2-for-3 performance in which he also doubled and scored a run against Chestnut Hill (4/27) 
  • Struck out four without a walk in three innings, surrendering three hits and one earned, against Nyack (4/14)
  • Earned his second save of the season with a perfect inning of a relief, including a strikeout, to help USciences hold off Goldey-Beacom by one run (4/13)
  • Struck out a season-high five in a season-long 3.2 innings, in which he scattered three hits and one earned run at Jefferson (4/9)
  • Closed out the win over Saint Anselm to pick up his first collegiate victory. Threw 1.2 scoreless innings, giving up just one hit with three strikeouts against just one walk (2/24)
  • Threw two innings, working around five walks to strike out four and not allow a hit en route to earning a save in his first career collegiate apperance against regionally-ranked Le Moyne (2/17)
