Biography

2014-15:  Compiled a 5-8 singles record, primarily at the #5 singles position and a 4-8 doubles record, primarily at the #3 doubles position, but earning three wins while playing #1 doubles.…earned conference singles wins against Post University’s Julianna Frenette,; 6-36-3 at #4 singles and a three-set thriller over Caldwell University’s Koumoudi Thirunaguru, 5-7, 6-2, 6-4 at #5 singles…recorded a tiebreaker win against Daemen College at #5 singles on 10/15, winning, 6-3, 6-7 (7-9), 1-0 (10-4)…also had an 8-0 win against Cheyney University on 9/21 and a three-set win at St. Thomas Aquinas at #5 singles, 1-6, 7-5, 6-3 on 9/6…In doubles play, earned a win in the Devils final match of the season, playing at #1 doubles with Victoria Quang, defeating Cabrini College 8-1…Teamed with Quang to record two more wins at #1 doubles, 8-0 vs. Cheyney on 9/21 and 8-4 vs. Molloy on 9/20…...had an 8-4 win at #3 doubles at Caldwell on 9/9, teaming with Sara Skoritowski. 

2013-14:  Played at three different singles positions in 2013-14, participating in 15 singles matches, winning one…recorded two doubles wins in 15 dual matches for the Devils…Scored a straight set 6-0, 6-0 win at #4 singles at Post University on 9/28…also earned a doubles with Marysa Kamleu at Post, 8-0 at #2 doubles…had an 8-5 #2 doubles win at Gwynedd-Mercy College on 9/9, teaming with Alexis Vidal… 

Honors and Activities:  Earned Division II Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award for 2014-15…Named to Dean’s List all four semesters at USciences…Named to Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Fall Academic Team 2014…member of American Pharmacists Association Academy of Student Pharmacists (APha-ASP)…member of the Commuter Student Union (CSU) and the Asian Student Association. (ASA). 

Prior to USciences:  Four year player at Central High School in Philadelphia…High School team was three-time Philadelphia Public League Champions (2009-2011)…named to All-Public League Team in 2012/2013…earned senior varsity award for girls tennis…Was Cape May Tennis Club 2012 Girls Tennis Second Doubles winner. 

Personal:  Oldest child of John and Mieng Dang…Entering her third year overall in USciences’ Doctor of Pharmacy program…Decided to play Division II tennis at USciences because she really enjoyed the sport and wanted to continue playing in college…also chose the school because of its credibility it had of its PharmD. program and enjoyed how the campus facilities and classes worked…After graduation plans to find a stable job and begin paying off student loans and preparing for the future.
