2017 (Match-by-Match): Sangu appeared in all 23 matches in played all 74 sets in her senior season. She ranked second on the team with an average of 0.77 blocks per set, which ranked 14th in the CACC. She was also second with a .138 hitting percentage and fourth with an average of 1.55 kills per set. 

  • In the final home match of her career vs. Nyack, registered a match-high with four block assists, to go along with one solo block, to tie her career-best for a three set match (10/31)
  • Earned a spot on the CACC Honor Roll (10/17)
  • Recorded a career-high 10 blocks in five set win at Concordia, which included eight block assists to move her into sixth in program history with 123 for her career. She added nine kills to fall one short of her career-best, as well as her first career double-double (10/14)
  • Led USciences with four block assists vs. Goldey-Beacom to match her career-high (10/10)
  • Set a new career-high for a three set match with seven kills on .400 hitting to lead the USciences offensive attack at Caldwell (10/7)
  • Led the sweep of Bloomfield with five total blocks, which included a season-high three solo blocks as well two block assists to move her into seventh in program history with 107 for her career.  She also hit .357
  • Became the ninth player in program history to reach 100 career block assists at Millersville (9/8)

Prior to USciences: 

  • Two sport athlete in high school, competing in basketball and track and field at Colonia High School
  • Two year starter on the girls basketball team and a three year varsity player
  • Two year team captain on the track team, where she broke school record in 100m, 200m and 400m
  • Named All-Division for 400 meters and All-County for 100 meters

Personal: 

  • One of three children of Gurnam Singh and Jasbir Kaur
  • Both parents were intercollegiate athletes and her father went on to play professional volleyball
  • Decided to play volleyball because she wanted to try something new and thought the volleyball team would be an exciting opportunity
  • Likes USciences for the diverse but “homely” community. It is a University that allows her to balance her academic and athletic interests
  • Hopes to go to medical school after graduation and become a doctor
