Grace Griffin

Recent Maryland graduate Grace Griffin has joined the Saint Joseph's women's lacrosse coaching staff for the 2023 season.

“I am excited to welcome Grace to Hawk Hill!” Kahoe said upon Griffin's appointment.  “Grace had an extremely successful playing career, winning both NCAA and Big Ten championships.  She knows what it takes to compete at a high level and has a true passion for coaching.  We are looking forward to Grace sharing her knowledge and championship mentality with our team.”

Griffin enters the coaching world after a decorated career with the Terrapins.  She is a three-time team captain, a first in program history, and was lauded as Maryland’s Student-Athlete of the Year and one of the university’s two Big Ten Medal of Honor Recipients in 2021.  Griffin was named to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List three times and was selected as an All-America honoree in both 2021 and 2022.

A native of Sykesville, Maryland, Griffin earned All-Big Ten accolades three times and was named the league’s Freshman of the Year in 2018.  She helped lead Maryland to the national title in 2019, netting a hat trick in the championship game, and played on the Terps’ Final Four teams in 2018 and 2022.
