Lehigh Scores 4-0 Win Over Men's Soccer

BETHLEHEM, PA - Lehigh used three first-half goals to run to a 4-0 win over Saint Joseph's men's soccer and capture the Lehigh/Lafayette Classic title. The loss drops the Hawks to 1-6 on the year while Lehigh improves to 4-1.

Patrick Starsinic opened the scoring for Lehigh in the 10th minute, followed by Nick Clemente in the 32nd minute and John O'Reilly in the 40th.

Lehigh outshot the Hawks, 17-3, and SJU's Chris DiStefano made four saves before giving way to Trevor Lyman late in the match. Lehigh's Sam Bishop played 80 minutes and made one save in posting the shutout.

Jim Stevens finished out the scoring for Lehigh in the 72nd minute.

The Hawks are idle for almost two weeks before playing their first home match of the year, hosting Massachusetts on October 1 in the conference opener.
