Graham Munro scored in the 21st minute to help lead Binghamton to a 3-0 win over Saint Joseph's at the Philadelphia University/Adams Mark Hotel Soccer Classic at Ravenhill Field. The loss drops the Hawks to 0-4 while Binghamton improves to 4-0-2.
Binghamton and Monmouth shared the team title by each scoring two victories.
For the Hawks, senior goalkeeper Chris DiStefano and freshman midfielder Craig Olsen were named to the All-Tournament Team.
Munro tallied an unassisted goal at 21:17 giving Binghamton a lead which it would hold until midway through the second half.
Charles Darkwah scored at 62:45 to increase the lead to 2-0, while Bryan Arnault put away the game with a goal at 75:04. Adam Chavez was credited with the assist.
Binghamton outshot the Hawks, 22-7, and keeper Stefan Gonet made two saves for the shutout. DiStefano posted six saves on the day for the Hawks.
The Hawks return to Philadelphia University on Wednesday, Sept. 15 for a Soccer Seven matchup. Game time is 4:00 p.m. at Ravenhill Field.
