PHILADELPHIA -
Philadelphia basketball fans can see a rare doubleheader on Saturday, November 27 at The Palestra when Philadelphia University takes on the University of the Sciences at 1:30 p.m., and Saint Joseph's hosts Davidson at 4 p.m.
Saint Joseph's is playing its first game in Philadelphia this season. The Hawks opened the year with a 91-51 loss at second-ranked Kansas on Tuesday evening. SJU was without leading returning scorer Pat Carroll, who has been sidelined with a shoulder injury. Carroll's status for the Davidson game is possible but he will be a game-time decision.
Davidson is currently 2-1 on the year with wins over Missouri and Maine-Farmington.
Philadelphia Univ., led by coach Herb Magee, is currently ranked third in NCAA Division II with a 2-1 record. The University of the Sciences owns a 1-1 record.
Tickets are still available for the doubleheader through the Saint Joseph's ticket office (610-660-1712) or for purchase at the door on Saturday.
