PHILADELPHIA - Members of the Saint Joseph's men's basketball team will once again take on the role of Santa Claus this Christmas, shopping for and delivering gifts to needy families in the Philadelphia area. The collection for the annual "Help the Hawks Help Others" program will take place at the Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse opener on Tuesday, December 7.

Coach Phil Martelli and the Hawks, in conjunction with the University's Campus Ministry, will shop, wrap and deliver gifts to two needy families. The money collected at the Fairfield game will be used to buy the gifts.

This will be the 10th consecutive year that the Hawks will participate in this project.
