PHILADELPHIA (1/11/04) -- Senior Irina Krasnoshiok was honored as the Atlantic 10 Player of the Week for her performances in two Hawk wins this week. The honor is the first of the season for a SJU player and is the second of her career. Krasnoshiok began her week with a 24 point performance in the team's 67-40 win over Massachusetts. The 6-5 center scored 22 points in the first half alone and shot an impressive 10-for-12 from the floor. On Sunday, Krasnoshiok was one of four Hawks to reach double-figures as Saint Joseph's upset George Washington in the nation's capital, 64-62. She added 13 points and five rebounds in the victory. For the week, the native of Chisnau, Moldova averaged 18.5 points per game. Krasnoshiok is currently leading the team in scoring at 12.8 ppg.
