WASHINGTON, D.C. – Saint Joseph's women's basketball juniors Aleah Snead and Gabby Casey have been voted Atlantic 10 Preseason All-Conference, the league office announced Tuesday morning as part of its annual media day. Snead earned spots on the A-10 Preseason Second Team and the All-Defensive Team, while Casey was named to the A-10 Preseason Third Team.

The Philadelphia native also tallied 35 assists, 26 steals, and 10 blocks across 34 appearances. She reached double figures 10 times, highlighted by a career-best 22 points and five steals in a win over Davidson.

Casey collected her first Atlantic 10 honor following a sophomore campaign in which she started 33 of 34 games. The Quakertown, Pennsylvania, native averaged 7.7 points and 4.4 rebounds, while leading the Hawks with 36 steals and ranking third on the roster with 76 assists. She recorded 11 double-digit scoring efforts, including back-to-back career highs with 20 points at Southern Utah and 21 points at Utah during a December road swing.

As a team, Saint Joseph's was picked to finish sixth in the Atlantic 10 Preseason Coaches Poll, as voted on by the league's 14 head coaches. Richmond was tabbed the preseason favorite with nine first-place votes, followed by George Mason with four and Davidson with one.

The Hawks open the season on Tuesday, November 4, hosting West Chester at 7 p.m.
