PHILADELPHIA (3/14/04) - Saint Joseph's University's women's basketball team has gained a postseason bid to participate in the upcoming Women's National Invitation Tournament. The Hawk women are slated to host Kent State (19-9) in the tournament's opening round on Friday, March 19 at the Fieldhouse. The game time is 7:00 PM. Click here for game notes, streaming audio. SJU's women (20-10) will be making its fourth WNIT appearance and third in the last three years. They previously made the WNIT field in 1998, 2002 and 2003. Last year the Crimson and Gray defeated Delaware in the opening round at the Fieldhouse, before falling to at Richmond in round two.
