BLANK, HELDER NAMED TO ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT FIRST AND SECOND TEAMS

PHILADELPHIA (5/16/02) - For the second consecutive year, Saint Joseph's University lacrosse standouts Anne Blank and Katie Helder have been honored as First and Second Team Academic All-District selection by VERIZON/CoSIDA respectively. Both Blank and Helder were named to the Academic All-America team in 2001. Blank has been a top defender for SJU each of the last three seasons while holding a 3.94 GPA in Finance. During her career on Hawk Hill, Blank recorded 13 career goals, 5 assists and has picked up 91 groundballs. She is a member of the University's "Project Mexico" and has been named to the Dean's list, as well as being named to both the Athletic Director's and Commissioner's Honor Rolls every semester. A standout field hockey player as well as lacrosse, Helder's athleticism lends a hand at her excellence on the field. Throughout her career Helder has notched three goals and one assist and has nabbed 63 groundballs while maintaining a 3.89 GPA in Marketing. She has also been named to the Dean's list as well as both Athletic Director's and Commissioner's Honor Rolls.
