Susan Moran has continued to lead the Irish national team at the Summer Universiade, but the Emerald Isle has struggled in losses to Russia and the Czech Republic. Tomorrow, the team will try to stay alive in the tournament against Serbia and Montenegro.
In a 98-66 loss to Russia, Moran pumped in 21 points and added five boards in 33 minutes. She torched the nets from the field, shooting 10-for-15, and going 1-for-2 from the charity stripe.
Moran scored 15 points and garnered seven rebounds in a 78-62 loss to the Czech Republic. In 29 minutes of play, SJU's all-time leading scorer was cold from the floor, shooting 3-for-10, but capitalized on ten trips to the foul line, making nine.
