MONROEVILLE, PA (4/9/04) -- Second-seeded George Washington defeated Saint Joseph's, 4-2, in the Atlantic 10 Semifinals to advance to tomorrow's finals against Richmond. SJU, which falls to 9-8 on the season, takes on St. Bonaventure in the third-place match on Saturday at 11 a.m. The Hawks are guaranteed their best-ever finish at A-10s, improving on last year's fifth-place showing.
