MONROEVILLE, PA (04/11/03) -- The Saint Joseph's men's tennis team hasn't finished better than 8th at the Atlantic 10 Championships in the last decade. But this year the Hawks (11-5) have been seeded fourth and will take aim at their first A-10 championship. They face #5 Duquesne in the first round on April 11 at 11:00 a.m.
If SJU gets past the Dukes (10-9), it will face #1-seeded Richmond in the second round Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
Freshman Jimmy Holland comes into the tournament second in the league in wins with 20. SJU has the most of any teams with seven players boasting more than 12 singles wins.
The tournament will take place at the Oxford Athletic Club in Monroeville, Pa. Duquesne University will serve as the host.
