CINCINNATI, Ohio (1/15/04) - The 6th-ranked Saint Joseph's Hawks return to the national stage on ESPN to face Atlantic 10 rival Xavier at 2 p.m. on January 17 at the Cintas Center, in one of the biggest tests of the season. The 14-0 Hawks are one of four unbeaten teams in the nation, but will be looking for their first win on Xavier's home court in seven tries. Click here for game notes, and streaming audio .
The Hawks are the highest ranked team to visit the Cintas Center in its four years of existence.
Xavier owns a two-game winning streak against the Hawks, picking up an 88-80 overtime win in Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse last season. The Musketeers are currently 9-5, and 1-1 in the conference, but saw their four-game winning streak end at Duquesne on Wednesday night.
Saint Joseph's continues to be led by the best backcourt in the nation,
Jameer Nelson (20.3 ppg) and
Delonte West (17.4 ppg).
