SAINT JOSEPH'S RECOGNIZES GRAFF AND DUFFY AS TOP SENIOR ATHLETES

PHILADELPHIA (06/02/04) - Adam Duffy and Stephanie Graff have been named the recipients of the Class of 1950 Award given to the top graduating male and female senior athletes at Saint Joseph's University. The Award was presented at the Undergraduate Award Ceremony on Friday, May 14, which was held in conjunction with University's commencement exercises.

A four-year starter on the Hawk men's soccer team, Duffy was recognized as both an All-Atlantic 10 Conference selection and Philadelphia Soccer 7 All-Star each of the last two seasons. He received second team honors form the A-10 as a junior and first team accolades as a senior. The Downingtown, Pa. native (Downingtown H.S.) combined to lead the Crimson and Gray in both goals and points the past two years and finished his career with 15 goals and 12 assists. Also a standout in the classroom, the Finance major was named to both the SJU Athletic Director's and A-10 Commissioner's Honor Rolls during his career.

Perhaps the most intimidating defensive player in program history, Graff topped the women's basketball team in rebounding and field goal percentage, while demolishing her own Hawk single game (seven), season (76) and career (175) standards for blocked shots. The team's MVP and Co-Defensive Player of the Year finished her career sixth in career rebounds (788) and 12th in career scoring (1,193). A second team All-Atlantic 10 choice, in addition to being named to the league's all-defensive team, the cerebral post performer and native of Drexel Hill, Pa. (Archbishop Prendergast H.S.) was named to the academic all-conference team for the second straight season in addition to garnering first team academic all-district honors.
