PHILADELPHIA (1/6/03) - Senior Stephanie Graff has been named the Philadelphia Big 5 Player of the Week for the week ending January 4, the league office announced today. Graff averaged 15.7 points per game and 9.0 rebounds per game as the Hawks went 2-1 during the week. Graff scored 20 points and nine rebounds in a 69-53 win over Stony Brook in the semifinals of the Hawk Classic to begin the week on December 28. She came back to score 15 points and 14 rebounds to earn all-tournament honors in an overtime loss to George Mason in the tournament finals. In the conference opener against Duquesne, Graff scored 12 points and blocked a program record seven shots in the victory. For the week, the senior southpaw shot 67% from the field and averaged 4.0 blocks per game. It is the third time that Graff has earned the Big 5 honor in her career.
