PHILADELPHIA (04/24/03) - Saint Joseph's University's Jameer Nelson has been voted the Philadelphia Big 5's Outstanding Player of the Year by the Herb Good Basketball Club. Nelson will receive the Robert V. Geasey Trophy at the Club's 58th Annual Banquet, Monday, April 28, at Colleen's, 22nd Street and the Parkway, Philadelphia. Joining Nelson on the first All-Big 5 Team are his teammate, Delonte West, La Salle's Gary Neal, Penn's Ugonna Onyekwe and Temple's David Hawkins. The second team includes Penn's Jeff Schiffner and Andrew Toole, Villanova's Gary Buchanan and Ricky Wright, Temple's Alex Wesby and Pat Carroll of Saint Joseph's. The Herb Good Basketball Club will hold its annual awards banquet at Colleen's, 22nd Street and The Parkway, Philadelphia, on Monday, April 28, 2003.
