PHILADELPHIA (10/27/03) -- The women's coaches of the Philadelphia Big 5 will hold a girls basketball clinic on Saturday, November 1, 2003 for girls ages 6-16 as well as for grade school and high school level coaches. Clinic registration will begin at 9 a.m. and the clinic itself will run until noon at the Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse. Coaches Kelly Greenberg of Penn, Cindy Griffin of Saint Joseph's, John Miller of La Salle, Harry Perretta of Villanova and Dawn Staley of Temple will be on hand to teach drills and skills to the players and to discuss offensive and defensive strategies with the coaches. Players from each Big 5 team will also be there to instruct the young participants throughout the morning. The cost of the clinic is $15 per person in advance ($20 at the door), with a portion of the proceeds being donated to the American Caner Society's "Coaches vs. Cancer" program.
