Drew Hill, who served as a Hawk assistant coach in 2001-02, is in his first season as the head men's rowing coach at Saint Joseph's University. A 1974 SJU grad, Hill was a four-year rower for the Crimson and Gray and a member of the school's talented crews of the early 1970s.
Hill joined the collegiate coaching ranks last year after spending four years as a coach at his high school alma mater St. Joseph's Prep. He served as the Prep's novice coach in 1998 and 1999 and as an assistant varsity coach from 1999-2001. Working most closely with the program's second varsity eight and varsity four boats, his crews went on to capture three national titles, three Stotesbury championships, as well as five city and catholic league titles.
Hill's daughter Laura is a member of SJU's women's rowing team.
