WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ - Goalkeeper Rob Lavorerio made 10 saves to record his first career shutout as Saint Joseph's and Monmouth battled to a 0-0 tie in double overtime in men's soccer action. The Hawks are now 1-5-1 on the year.

Lavorerio made three of his 10 saves in the first six minutes, while Monmouth (3-3-3) outshot SJU, 20-7, in the contest.

Monmouth keeper Art Satterwhite made just three saves on the day, but all of them came in the first overtime, on shots by SJU's Andrew Tursi and Patrick Duddy.

Duddy and Ian Kane each registered a team-high two shots for the Hawks.

Saint Joseph's opens Atlantic 10 play next weekend, traveling to Duquesne on Friday, October 7 and to new conference member Saint Louis on Sunday.
